Get Into the October Spirit- Without the Clutter!

October is finally here, marking the beginning of shorter days, pumpkin spice lattes, and everything Halloween. As the seasons turn it can be easy to get caught up in spooktacular decorations that fill your house with clutter. Nevertheless, we want to share with you ways to be festive while still keeping a tidy home. So, in honor of October 1st, here are five clutter-free ways to get into the spirit of fall!

1. Trips to the pumpkin patch with loved ones

The best fall way to spend quality time with your loved ones is to take a trip to the pumpkin patch together! Picking and carving a pumpkin will give you lovely fall memories that will last longer than any Halloween decoration.

2. Cinnamon brooms

Our favorite way to give your home that freshly baked apple pie autumnal smell. These cute decorations can last for at least six months and they transition well into the winter season.

3. Seasonal foods. Apple pie and pumpkin spice everything!

If you can consume it, it can’t create clutter! That’s why seasonal foods are a great way to get you feeling like it is fall without creating any clutter in your home.

4. Using household items to create fun and unique costumes

No store bought costume ever wins a costume contest. Plus using what you have already means one less thing to store when November 1st hits. Scour Pinterest for ideas on how to make creative costumes with what you already own. Who wouldn’t be impressed with your costume when you show up to a party as a toilet paper mummy!

5. Pumpkin carving parties

Looking for a fun way to bring your loved ones together this October? Try throwing an adult pumpkin carving party. Invite your friends and family over and tell them to bring a pumpkin and their favorite food to share. You will all enjoy a fun, yummy, and creative evening together.
